If you haven’t purchased a new car in recent years, you may be surprised by all of the new features that can come standard. That’s why we distilled our top 8 favorite features on 2021 vehicles.
- Anti-Collision System (Automated Emergency Braking)
If there is one feature that you should look for in your new 2021 vehicle, we strongly recommend the Anti-Collision System. Technology is advancing at an insane rate, and that includes technology in the automotive industry. Decrease the risk of an accident when you purchase a car with an anti-collision system. If you get into a bind, your anti-collision system will notify you of an upcoming obstacle and help you brake your truck. This can save you thousands of dollars, a ton of time, and potentially your life.
Currently, most models of Kia vehicles come standard with this feature.
- Wireless Phone Charger
We all live off of our smartphones these days, so the benefits of this accessory go without saying. Cut the cord and reduce the clutter. However, beyond the aesthetic and convenience aspect of having a built-in wireless charger, there is also a safety component. We all need to set our phones down while driving, and not having to fiddle with a cord to make sure our phone is charged is part of that! The Toyota Camry is an excellent example of a car that comes loaded with this feature.
- Apple Carplay & Android Auto
This is another cell phone feature that is a must for 2021. Our smartphones have become our central command center. They are involved in every aspect of our life, which is why you should look for a vehicle that will integrate with your phone and display pertinent information on your dash to maintain a hands-free driving experience. Apple Carplay & Android Auto are the ultimate copilots for your driving experience. Easily send texts, answer calls, queue your favorite music, navigate your drive, and more with these fantastic integrations!
- Remote Start From Your Cell Phone
Our last cellphone related feature on the list is definitely new to the market. If you’d lived through one of our frigid Colorado winters, you know how convenient having this feature is. A cell phone integrated remote starter. The days of struggling to get that clear line of sight to remote start your car are over. Now you don’t even have to get out of bed to start your car! Just pull up your vehicle’s mobile app, and hit the ignition button. You’ll have a warm car before you know it! Check out current inventory with remote starting capabilities.
- Heads Up Display
Never take your eyes off the road again. Now all of you pertinent driving information can be seen in a holographic display projected onto your windshield. This information includes (but isn’t limited to) current speed, speed limit, navigation, and song information. This is the perfect feature to couple with your steering wheel controls! View current inventory with heads up display.
- Massage Seat
Definitely the most luxurious feature on this list… Massage chairs. These used to only be found in the top tier foreign luxury vehicles like Mercedes & BMW, but are now available in domestic luxury vehicles such as the Ford Expedition and the Lincoln Navigator. We tested this feature, and it is incredible! While you won’t get the deep tissue massage you may be used to, a massage seat will move your body and help relax your back while you’re on those endless road trips or long commutes. We currently have select models of Lincolns and Ford Expeditions with this feature.
- Intelligent Park Assist
Do you get anxious about parallel parking or just hate parking your car in general? Well, you’re in luck because parking assist capabilities are now available on affordably priced vehicles. For example, the Toyota Pruis uses a combination of its camera system and sonar sensors to measure the parking spot’s size, determine the steering angle, and smoothly park your car while watching for and avoiding obstacles. Don’t believe us? See it for yourself here.
Check out qualifying Toyotas, Lincolns, Fords, and Kias with this feature.
- Radar Cruise Control (Adaptive Cruise Control)
Last on our list is another feature that’s a perfect mix of safety and convenience, radar cruise control. Remember those sonar sensors we were just talking about? Well, they can do more than just help park your car! Vehicle manufactures are finding tons of other uses for these sensors to make driving safer and easier. Radar cruise control is a great example of this. Now you don’t have to adjust your cruise control every time traffic decides to slow down. With radar cruise control, your car will maintain a predetermined distance from the car in front of you and never exceed the max speed that you’ve set. Many vehicles in our inventory come with this feature, including the Kia Soul and the Toyota Corolla.
